Meeting was called to order at Noon by Chairman Bill Burt
Minutes of the August 8, 2013 Meeting
It was moved by Eileen Morgan and seconded by Jim McMakin to “accept the minutes of the August 8th meeting as presented.” The motion passed with a 4 to 0.
Update on Bracket Landing
Closing is still delayed. Hoping to close by the end of September.
It was moved by Eileen Morgan and seconded by Jim McMakin “to authorize an amount not to exceed $135,000 for the schedule of bills payable for 4 Stellwagon Way.” It was approved 4 to 0.
Insurance
Scott Kerry was present to discuss insurance options for the properties. Rental Property and Liability Insurance has been secured for the Waumpum Lane properties. Loss of Rent insurance was highlighted as a potential need. The Trust is going to inquire with the Town Counsel as to what kind of insurance our properties require.
Rental Assistance Program Letter
Alice distributed a copy of the Letter from the Trust to the Board of Selectmen and the Community Preservation Committee for signature. John Knight suggested a form of this letter be sent to the local newspapers as well.
Management Contract
The contract with CDP needs to be adjusted after it is reviewed by the Town Counsel.
RFP for New Projects
There is an RFP to be issued next week. We need to issue them regularly if we are to purchase property.
Other Business
It was moved by Jim McMakin and seconded by Eileen Morgan to “pay the bills totaling $5,908.56.” It was approved unanimously.
It was moved by Matthew Wissell and seconded by Eileen Morgan “to adjourn.” It was unanimously approved.
